Corporate Work Study Program » A Winning Solution

A Winning Solution

Cristo Rey Dallas works for business.

The Cristo Rey Dallas Work Study Program (CWSP) employs students who are properly documented and provides partners with a full-time-equivalent (FTE) team of four based on a flat-fee contract. The contract period is for the school year. CWSP is responsible for expenses and reporting requirements for student employees much like a temporary employment agency.

Relationships make it work, so we make it our goal to offer world-class service to support our work study partners. Here are a few ways we tailor our program to fit your unique needs. You can expect us to:

  • Conduct background checks and screening in compliance with your firm's hiring practices
  • Participate in on-site orientation with the student team
  • Oversee job performance in close cooperation with your assigned supervisor(s)
  • Provide entry-level workplace training before and throughout the school year
    • Office protocols and behavior
    • Communication skills
    • Basic spreadsheet and word processing skills
  • Transport students to and from the workplace

Cristo Rey students perform real, value-added work. A Corporate Work Study job is neither an internship, an on-the-job training program nor charity. Rather, employers who express the most satisfaction with our students assign real tasks supporting day-to-day needs of their businesses. We are available to work with supervisors to identify areas of work opportunity within your firm and well-suited tasks specific to your type of business. Many partners tells us Cristo Rey students are more enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual than a typical entry-level employee.

Job partnerships launch in August.  The Corporate Work Study Program (CSWP) contract price for the 2016-2017 school year is $32,800. A typical work day is 9 am to 4 pm. Some partners opt to employ students during non-school holidays and summers. In these cases, the per diem fee passes directly to the students.

We want your job.
