Intro to Literature 1 Students will read  novels, a play, news articles, and poetry using comprehension strategies of annotating, summarizing, and developing questions. Students will write, creating arguments with supporting evidence, to understand and think more deeply about the texts.
World Literature 1 Students will  better understand the human condition by analyzing what other cultures and peoples define as “being human.” This course asks the questions, “what does it mean to be a citizen of the world, and how do we fit in? Students will explore these questions by analyzing rich literary texts from around the globe.
US Literature  1 Students will delve into American literature chronologically, beginning with the Native American literature that predates the Colonial period, and ending in the late Twentieth Century. Students will examine how American identity in literature shifts and changes throughout the course of American history.
