Meet the Staff

Susy Pérez, Director of Admissions

Over the last 20 years, Susy Pérez has worked in education in various capacities.  Her experience has ranged from pre-kindergarten to undergraduate education. Before joining Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep, Mrs. Pérez worked as the Assistant Director of Parish Episcopal School’s after-school enrichment program and the Director of High School Placement at KIPP TRUTH Academy.  Her engagement with students and families at KIPP convinced Mrs. Pérez of the dire need for urban education reform.

 

Mrs. Pérez, a native of Mexico City, moved to the United States at the age of six.  Throughout Mrs. Pérez’s childhood, her family emphasized the power of good education to eradicate the obstacles that often result from a disadvantageous socio-economic status.  With the invaluable support and encouragement of her mom, grandmother and her late-grandfather, Mrs. Pérez earned a Master’s degree in human relations and business & a Bachelor’s degree in business administration in international business administration with a minor in Spanish. Ms. Perez recently went back to school to earn her doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from Southern Methodist University she expects to graduate in May 2021.

 

Mrs. Pérez is excited to share the missions of Cristo Rey Dallas and empowering students and families through the power of a quality education. Susy and her husband are the proud parents to a young son and daughter. They also have a four-legged daughter named Meche.

 

Ana Lopez, Admissions Coordinator

Ana Lopez is a recent graduate of the The University of Texas at Arlington receiving both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work. Both her parents immigrated from Tejupilco, Mexico searching for the American Dream. Mrs. Lopez is the eldest of five sisters and is proud to be the first in her family to earn a college degree. She is currently working towards her licensing to one day be able to provide therapy for children and families.

Mrs. Lopez’s ascertains that her family are her motivation to grow professionally. As the new admissions coordinator for Cristo Rey Dallas she supports families through form application through enrollment. She also supports the day to day operations of the admissions department.  

Mrs. Lopez enjoys visiting her parents hometown providing gifts and school supplies for less fortunate children. Recently married, her husband and Mrs. Lopez are dog parents to Rocco and Chirris.

Mrs. Lopez enjoys working with today’s youth and finds it satisfying as she is able to support and witness them becoming successful and independent young adults.
