Sister Dawn Achs has served as Associate Superintendent of Schools in the Catholic Diocese of Dallas since 2008.
Sister Dawn has taught in Catholic schools in Missouri and Illinois. She was a teacher in both elementary and special education schools, and has been an administrator in elementary, special education, and vocational programs in Missouri and Illinois. Sister Dawn also served as Director of Special Needs in the Diocese of Belleville, Illinois, Associate Superintendent of Schools in Victoria, Texas and as Associate Superintendent of Schools in the Diocese of Dallas since 2008.
Sister Dawn is an active member of several professional educational organizations. She has been a presenter at the National Catholic Educational Association Convention, and has provided in-service trainings for faculties in Texas and Illinois. Sister Dawn also serves in several capacities for her religious congregation, the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
Sister Dawn earned a B.A. from Notre Dame College in St. Louis, Missouri in elementary education with a minor in Science, and an M.A. from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in Special Education/Education.
