Mike Earsing has served as the 13th President of Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas (the first non-Jesuit priest or brother to serve in that role) since the summer of 2011. Mr. Earsing has served Jesuit Dallas for 30 years, first as a chemistry and history teacher from 1978-1980, then as assistant principal (discipline) from 1980 to 1994, director of community service and senior counselor from 1995 through 1997, and principal of the school since 1997.
Mr. Earsing has extensive knowledge of what constitutes a Jesuit secondary education. He is highly regarded across the country in the Jesuit community, particularly for his extraordinary work with the Jesuit Secondary Education Association, for which he served as chairman from 2005-2009. More importantly, he has demonstrated that, in addition to his unequaled knowledge of and dedication to Jesuit Dallas and its various constituencies, he has a remarkable understanding of Ignatian values and how they apply to the academic formation that the Society of Jesus demands from its schools in building “men for others.”
