Jason West is an actor, singer and educator from Salt Lake City, Utah. He received his BFA in Theatre Education from Utah State University and his MFA in Acting from Indiana University.
He has been performing for more than 10 years and has appeared in 75+ theatrical productions. Some of his professional credits include roles at the Egyptian Theatre, Desert Star Playhouse, Salty Dinner Theatre, Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre Company, Indiana Festival Theatre, Indiana University Summer Theatre, and the Jewish Theatre of Bloomington. Jason has been certified as an Actor Combatant by the Society of American Fight Directors with certificates in unarmed, broadsword, and rapier and dagger. He has hopes to continue his training to become a certified fight director. As an educator, Jason has taught theatre at Logan High School, the Utah Festival Opera Conservatory, the Utah Children’s Theatre, and Indiana University.
Jason is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a two-year mission to Chile from 2005 to 2007. A year after he returned, he served as a Young Performing Missionary in Nauvoo, Illinois. It was there that he met his wife Kristi. They were married in 2009 and have since welcomed two children into their family; a son, Haven, and a daughter, Jenna.
