Dan Woodward is the Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) at Cristo Rey Dallas. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas, he attended Baylor University to complete his graduate degree in School Psychology. While in Waco, Mr. Woodward completed internships for Waco High School and the Waco ISD District Alternative Education Placement (DAEP). Upon completing his Education Specialist Degree coursework in School Psychology, he moved to Dallas and completed a yearlong internship with Dallas ISD. During his time with Dallas ISD, Mr. Woodward conducted evaluations to identify students eligible for special education services, determined appropriate intervention strategies and techniques for at-risk students, and managed a counseling caseload.
Mr. Woodward's focus is to cultivate a safe environment that promotes academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development while encouraging family and community involvement. Mr. Woodward’s primary professional goal is to be an advocate for the students while working collaboratively with the families. As Cristo Rey Dallas’ LSSP, Mr. Woodward will help students identify their strengths, areas of need, and help provide interventions, counseling, and resources to promote student success inside and outside of the classroom.
In his free time, Mr. Woodward enjoys running and playing tennis, cooking, and watching his favorite TV shows with his brother.
